TECHNICAL FEATURES
GENERAL FEATURES

The “HPline” Machining Centre is a milling machine 5-axis on the tool and commanded by a NC, consisting of a structure with Cartesian axes and a mobile crossbeam:

  • Moving crossbeam sliding on guides positioned on side pillars: "Y" longitudinal axis.
  • The carriage of the “X” transversal axis, which moves the vertical arm for the Z axis, slides on the beam.
  • The axis end is the fastening element of the operating unit.
  • Separate worktop from the machine bases
MACHINE STRUCTURE
  • Structures formed with a "alveolar" pattern and whose size is based on the principles of FEM finite element analysis integrated with dynamic simulation
  • Motion is transmitted by Brushless motors coupled to precision gear reducers with pinions fastened onto them and running on hardened and ground precision racks with helical teeth.
  • The components slide on precision prismatic guides with pre-loaded recirculating ball runners.
  • Full digital package: SIEMENS highly dynamic Drives and Brushless Servomotors.
  • The brushless motors integrate the position data transmission system.
  • The structures are already prepared for the optional implementation of direct measurement systems with inductive linear encoders.
  • The crossbeam is motorised on both ends: the electrically synchronised two-axis movement system (Gantry system) allows for precision performance even at very high speed and acceleration.
  • Also for vertical axis "Z", motion is transmitted by a double drive unit. Both motors are fitted with a brake and each one transmits motion on a rack: one on the right and one on the left of the vertical arm.
  • This configuration with double pinion/gear reducer/motor provides improved electronic adjustment of the preload according to the different operating conditions applied, recovery of clearances thereby maintaining precision, and higher dynamic performance.

Perimeter protections:

At the front, 2 folding doors with manual opening and large inspection windows (laminated and tempered glass).  Optional feature of two doors at the back as well.

Dust protections:

  • The runners have a double external protection consisting of special scrapers.

  • All the guides and transmissions of the linear axes are covered with bellows.

OPERATING UNIT

HS678 Head

Universal head with 2 rotating axes at right angles and simultaneously controlled.

Motion is transmitted by a (Siemens) servo-assisted brushless motor providing programmable positioning in any point of the rotation.

Axes A and C are fitted with a pneumatic brake to lock the axes in a fixed position. This provides greater rigidity during machining that does not require the interpolation of these axes.

  • Stall torque:   A =  470  Nm (1400 max)      C =   480 Nm (1450 max)
  • Locking torque (brakes):  A = 1800 Nm     C = 1800 Nm

Direct measuring devices on rotary axes with angular transducers.

Or as an alternative

A tool change magazine with a 24-position disc located on the side of the structure with automatic opening protection door.

WORKTOP

Monolithic table:

Workpiece-holder table in monolithic cast iron, secured to the floor with 22mm T-slots with a 250mm centre distance and parallel to the "X" axis for the reference and clamping of the workpieces.

  • Overall size of the worktop according to the machine strokes
  • Thickness: 240 mm

The table can also be recessed in the floor via a specific foundation.

Structural table

The workpiece-holder table is separate from the shoulders of the machine, featuring an electro-welded reticular structure. The joists have blocks with a machined worktop parallel to the strokes of axes X and Y. Complete with M10 threaded holes for positioning and fixing templates, any worktops or blocks of unprocessed material to be machined.

  • Dimension: according to the machine strokes
  • The height of the worktop from the floor is about 600 mm

MILLING AND 3D MACHINING of large-sized models IN A SINGLE PLACE

High speed milling and finishing of non-ferrous materials for large components with a complex design

HP line is the modular range of the HP series.

It is used to process, in a single place, large-sized style models made in typical materials such as polyurethane, resin, wood, etc.

Also ideal to process structures rolled or reinforced with fibre, fibreglass, composite materials, components with a complex shape used in various application industries, such as the nautical, aerospace, ground transport, energy sectors and many other industrial fields.

The worktop, which is separate from the machine structure, can be customised to specific applications. It can be configured with a monolithic table with T-slots, secured to the floor or recessed, with guide rails for large-sized workpiece-holder carriages, or with framework structures for customised equipment, etc.
